The Inter-Athletic Council of Officials (IACO), Metro-Chicago is hosting two Away at School Umpire Clinics. This Umpires Clinic is intended for umpires who are out of the area due to school or job commitments and are unable to attend a regular Umpires Clinic. We selected the Christmas/Winter Break times as most of you will be home during this time. Umpires registered for several years and have not attended a clinic or in some cases have never umpired a high school game should plan on attending. Our goal is to help you acquire the knowledge and skills necessary improve your skills as an umpire. We will also assist in registering new umpires. Clinic sites are targeted to make it more convenient for you to attend. The clinics will be in Chicago Heights and Roselle, with instruction from Illinois High School Association Certified Clinicians. The clinics will be a 4 hour session and attendees must attend the entire clinic to receive IHSA Level 1 Baseball or Softball Clinic Credit.
